The qualified candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in poultry science or related field and a minimum of three years’ processing experience; OR a minimum of five years’ experience as a processing supervisor. Will demonstrate the ability to interact with managers, superintendents, supervisors and support departments, and exhibit good follow-up skills. Excellent written, verbal and math skills are essential.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of this position is the supervision of poultry processing from the chiller area through Cut-up, Deboning, Packing, Bagging, Weighing, Boxing and Icing, while complying with established safety, quality and USDA standards and meeting production orders. This includes (but is not limited to) supervising the production/flow of birds; meeting established yield requirements; safety and loss prevention; maintaining proper staffing as authorized; directly supervising departmental supervisors; and overseeing special projects and other activities as assigned.
