The qualified candidate will have a high school diploma or GED with at least 3 years hands-on poultry experience, OR a bachelor’s degree with at least one-year poultry experience. Must be computer literate with knowledge of commercial transportation; have good analytical skills; and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment where meeting deadlines is essential.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of this position is the supervision of poultry processing from receiving through chilling, while complying with established safety, quality and USDA standards and meeting production orders. This includes (but is not limited to) supervising the production/flow of birds; meeting established yield requirements; overseeing safety and loss prevention as well as training of subordinates and new employees; maintaining proper staffing as authorized; directly supervising departmental supervisors; and overseeing special projects and other activities as assigned.
