Wastewater Operator- 3rd Shift

Must be able to obtain a Delaware Wastewater License-Level I OIT by passing DNREC Level one wastewater exam within a two year period.  This requires the individual to pass the DNREC Level One Wastewater Operator Exam.  Continued employment as a Wastewater Operator OIT is contingent on obtaining this license.  Must attend the Del Tech Level One Wastewater Operator course – 18 weeks 6 to 9 pm on Monday. Must also exhibit above average math proficiency, have a strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn wastewater principles: be able to work flexible schedules: and must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The Base Level Water Operator license with a Chemical Feed Endorsement must also be obtained.  Del Tech preparatory courses for both water treatment licenses are also mandatory.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

This job involves responsibility for performing technical, operations, preventive maintenance and laboratory work at the Allen Harim wastewater treatment plant and potable water treatment system all results are used for the efficient operation and maintenance of the wastewater plant and portable water system.
